New delivery - another Sprite

Well, after owning the previous caravan (Sprite Major 4EB) for only 20 months we now have a new one in the drive. Although changing so soon may seem like madness there were a few influencing factors. The first 12 months were fault free, but then:
  • Microwave cupboard pulled away from the ceiling - repaired by the dealer.
  • Offside wall started to delaminate - back to Swift over Christmas for repair.
  • Panoramic window started to fill with water 4 weeks after getting it back from the above repair - replaced by Swift at the dealer.
  • Interior walling started to show signs of the wood veneer delaminating (horizontal raised "stripes" started showing themselves).
The above, plus finding the end bed too short for me and the claustrophobic feel of the lounge in the evening really took the shine off it. I discussed all of this with the dealer who did me a cracking deal on a new Sprite Major 4SB. We had this layout in another Swift a few years back so know it works for us (we only changed away from that layout as our daughter wanted her own space or we'd still have it).

Just got to shoe-horn all of the junk/essentials back in it now.

Hope this one is better quality compared to the last one, although they should not be difficult. Swift ought to take a very close look at what caused your structural issues, as it cannot have been unique. Something went badly wrong in build.

It's sitting in the corner of their workshop (sulking) awaiting a visit from the Swift engineer. It's a shame as we've had lots of Swifts that were great, but that one was certainly a "Friday" build.

Looks good, we changed our Lunar Clubman dealer special after a year, cracked rear panel plus other bits just as Lunar went bust, had Swift Fairway since and feels like it is a good one, no problems to speak of coming up to 4 years, so planning to keep it, Hope you enjoy your new van, I am sure all the essentilas will fit in somewhere

So having had one, with all sorts of problems, you STILL bought another?
Seems a strange course of action to me,
One bad one and seven previous good ones from Swift suggests that they USUALLY get it right. Also as per my other thread, the bed length on the previous was a problem for me.

Fair enough, it was meant as a bit tongue in cheek rather than a criticism 😉

It should not have faults like that but it does happen. I doubt Swift are any better r worse than the rest though and what you get seems to be pot luck as far as build quality is concerned.
