New ( ish) to Caravans

Hi
Making a return after many years ( last being a Elddis Hurricane XL 4 berth - 1990 & Kia Sportage )
Now looking for a 4 berth fixed bed, Max MPTLM 1400 for a 2019 focus estate 2.0 diesel -does anyone have any recommendations? finding that there are not that many options out there for lighter weight vans

A Series 5 Bailey Pageant Bordeaux is four berth, end fixed bed. Comes in at 1360 kg MTPLM or 1400kg with payload upgrade. Series 6 similar layout but a bit shorter with the reduction affecting lounge length. Some Sprites from 2013 onwards are worth considering. The aforementioned have sufficient equipment to live comfortably. Obviously your budget will affect your choices.

You have to ask yourself if the the car is not suitable for the caravan you desire. Cart before the horse?
What sort of budget do you have for the caravan?

Lunar venus 570/4 meets your requirements.
Problem with Lunars is that if for any reason a Lunar -specific part is required they are so much more difficult to acquire since Lunar ceased trading. Not great though with other makes but at least you have a better chance.

Totally agree with you, but on the other hand the build quality is far superior than the big market brands. As you may have read on here the horror stories of new van's, that's why I got a lunar.

Thank you for all the info - I did look at a Bailey Phoenix 640 ( 2019 model) a few ££ over budget - but just within tow limit -albeit 1380. I have two dalmations so i was hoping to segregate sleeping area - i liked the door idea rather than folding screen
