Andy why wait, just look for a dry week or two, we went to France in November one year, rain, then woke up to 1/2 a metre of snow next morning in the awning. Stopped our months touring. But a lovely time away.

We have had done great trips out in winter, both just the two of us and also with grandchildren. New Year was always a good time. Modern caravans are comfortable enough for all year touring.
