new to rallies

hi we bought our van this year and must say we have used it quite a bit throught the year. however we havent joined any clubs. would like to try a rally and meet some caravanners as i have a 13 year old who is in need of some company when we are away

Hi Sharon

Both clubs host rallies and these can be a good way of maximising the use of your caravan and meeting new people.

We are members of the Camping and Caravanning Club and as club members we are automatically members of our local District Association. Each District Association hosts rallies mainly within the local area but a club member can attend rallies held by any District Association so if a rally is being held in a place close to where you wish to visit as a member you could attend.

C&CC rallies are hosts to caravans, motorhomes and tents so there is usually a good mix of rallyers and most are friendly and welcoming.

Some rallys hold 'events' such as 60s weekends with live music or 'bouncy castle' weekends for the children and your youngster would be sure to find playmates of a similar age on any given weekend.

The price of rallies starts at around

We have a five year old and rally with 5 different groups, must say though it also makes you appreciate those quiet family times too.

Sharon

You can rally with any CC centre as long as you are a CC member.Gives you a chnace to try before you buy so to speak.

They CC should tell you about the centre's

Hi Sharon, if you join CC you can choose your centre, as members you can get the contacts from members area of website. CCC will automatically join you to your nearest centre, but of course you can attend any of the rallies for both clubs. Owners' clubs often have lots happening, just google them or go onto the ACCEO website for a full list of caravan clubs, all the owners clubs and all other clubs will belong to ACCEO so they will be listed. Once you have the contacts take it from there.

Does that make sense?????
