I have just bought this car and the ratio to my swift is 94%

I am aware of the recomended 85% ratio but im wondering if i could get some honest genuine opinions.

Has anyone used this new vectra 1.8vvti sri hatchback to tow with

or has anyone had any ratio experience??

I dont have that engine with my Vectra but have the 2.2 petrol. However, I think you will find that you should have quite a stable outfit, I think the Vectras are underrated towcars, but I have found that when Vauxhalls say max 75kg noseweight they mean it. Stick to that and I think you will find your van almost level on the rear of the car and the good handling characteristics of the car will show through. I have towed at just over 90% and provided the van is sensibly loaded I have felt fine with it. I would be interested on how you find that engine, the 2.2 has masses of low end torque which makes towing a doddle, I wonder if the vvti 1.8 develops its torque at higher revs.
