Hi has anybody else had the problem we have of rain water getting into the back of the car. The carpet gets soaked depending on the amount of rain we have. Just lately it has been VERY wet! This has been going on for a year, the car has been into the Nissan dealer three times and although he has replaced the back door seal, and tried a couple of things it makes no difference. He is struggling to come up with a cure. Just wondered if anyone else has experienced this problem? Would be grateful for any comments. Many thanks - Fred

I would pull the carpets out of the back, climb inside & get someone to hose the back door down & see if you can see were it is getting in, i suspect it to be coming in from the bottom

Are there any vents on the rear side windows ?? ( it might be getting in there )

has the door got double seals on ? one round the door frame & one on the door ??

Is the bottom drain holes in the door clear ??

How old is the car ??

If the problem is at the top of the door and new seals didn't help, maybe the door frame doesn't have any contact with the seal. Hold a slip of paper behind the door frame and close the door. If you can pull the piece of paper out when the door is shut without having to tug, then the door frame needs to be reset by bending it inwards. With care, this can be done without damaging anything.

there is no door frame at the top,its just the glass itself that that makes the seal against the frame of the body, and this is where the problem is.they actually changed the glass on mine twice, both times it lasted for a few months then leaked again,so it must obviously warp at some point.

Glass doesn't warp. If the glass isn't pressing hard enough against the seal then either the glass guide channel inside the door needs readjusting to tip the top edge further inboard or the end stop needs adjusting to allow the glass to raise another millimeter or two.

hi

then why does it work for a couple of months then leak again.something somewhere must have changed for this to happen??? nissan surely know what they are doing when trying to rectify this fault___obviously its beyond them as it still persists in a lot of nissans___not all though___so it seems so why is it happening to some and not others, surely if it was a common fault it would happen to them all??????
