We are getting very confussed as we were initially told 2004, but we are seeing lots of 2004/53 plates but they are advertised as Di so we are assuming it's the earlier engine. However in some of the pictures it does look like the face lift model with the honeycombe mesh grille??

Getting really confused,,,,

Thanks, that has helped a little for the reg years, still need confirmation though when the face year changed for this car though?

I now presume a 2004 04 possibly as it seems unlikely that the model was changed before the change over, ie makes sense that a 2004 53 Sept 2003-Feb 2004 is not the new engine...

However we are seeing lots of cars advertised as Di for 2004 53 but they are clearly showing the new styling on the outside???

Neither registration dates nor pictures in ads are very reliable. Dealers could have had old stocks that were registered well after the new model was introduced and photographs may be only for guidance but not the actual car being offered. The only way to be 100% certain is to check each vehicle yourselves.

The first facelifted models went on sale in the UK in December 2003. By the way, 4x2 versions didn't appear at the dealers until 2005.

I think you are right, last night we spotted some defintate discrepencies in some pictures and this was from a main Nissan Dealer! Thanks for the other bit of info.
