Noisey site

Stayed last week at the CCC site at Canterbury.after 3 days we came to the conclusion this is the noisest site we have been on in the club. The position looked nice when we hooked up but in the evening the otherside of the hedge was a gravel carpark and up to the small hours in the night were these vehicles going over gravel, the other noise is the Hospital generaters or what ever the other side of the pitch, this was all night off and on like a jet going over.Didgital/anologue tv was also u/s and maybe the overhead electricity pylons had something to do with it. One good thing about this site is the bus stop which is outside the camp and Canterbury itself. The camp itself was to CCC standerd along with the management.

Robert,

Thanks for giving us your appraisal of the site. The gravel car park and noise of generators nearby are things you would never know about until arriving on site and noise like that would certainly mar our holiday. Thank goodness for this forum where snippets of information like this are worth knowing.

The CC Sites Directory includes entries for "some road noise" or "some aircraft noise" against both club sites and CLs were appropriate.

Doesn't the C&CC do something similar?
