We cannot decide wether to go to whitby, or tintagel in june, i want the quickest and easiest to travel to from milton keynes, any help please.

Tim

hello tim, we have been to both, we only live about 90 mins away from whitby, but about 8 hours away from tintagel, and i would choose tintagel for a main holidAy. we love cornwall and dont seem to get there enough. tintagel is magical, and the surrounding area is without doubt wonderful. whitby is a lovely town, but , tintagel gets our vote...enjoy it whichever you decide.

Like Ed we live close to Whitby so would choose Tintagel for a main holiday, but if your not from the area it has many things in its favour. The Cleveland Way which follows the coast from Saltburn to Robin Hoods Bay is equally as good as any of the south west coastal path as is the landscape of the north yorkshire moors national park. The coastal villages from Staithes to Robin Hoods Bay also compare well with Cornish villages. Other days out include York, Flamingoland, Lightwater Valley and North Yorkshire moors steam railway.
