That's us off for a (probably wet) week. Elm Cottage in cheshire for a couple of days, then down to the George Hotel Site in Cambridge, Gloucester. A new site for us, but I'm told it's a good pub. I'll let you know next week. BFN.

Don't be so pessimistic regarding the weather. We are heading off this weekend for the 1st time this year. I admit it does seem strange packing the van in September, but if we don't go now, we won't this year. Getting the 1st night and being flooded is the last thing we are looking for.

I do agree regarding sites tho'. Did all the OAP's book everything in September? I expected a pretty empty field but most are fully booked till the end of the month, or is it the case that the Web shows full signs, but they are actually half empty?

Evening all, I'm back. We didn't get to Cambrige(Glos), cos the site was waterlogged, and the Rally cancelled. First time in twenty we've had to cancel a Rally. We stayed on at Elm Cottage until today(Sunday). The last couple of days were quite pleasant, and we found a new place to eat, so Herself was happy, as she only had to cook breakfat. I'll have to total up the cost of eating out, and deduct it from her housekeeping now!

Hi emmerson

Nice to have you back.

Next time I see Mrs emmerson, I'm going to have to have a little chat with her about these household (or should that be caravanhold) duties.
