Old Oaks Touring.Glastonbury

Hi.We have booked a long weekend in early July at the above site.

Was wondering if anyone here has stayed at this site before and have any tips/advice please.

You won't be disappointed with this site, it really is excellent in every respect. Things to do in the area - go up Glastonbury Tor, great views from the top. Most other people who stay on this site also make a visit to Clarks Village at nearby Street. But many other places to visit such as Wells with its Cathedral or the caves at Wookey Hole and Cheddar.

This is by far our favourite site. We have visited many times. The site is situated in quiet countryside but also close enough to nearby facilities in Glastonbury, Street or Wells.

The toilets/showers are immaculate.

The little shop is lovely - pre order some of the freshly baked bread the day you arrive for breakfast the following morning. You can also order your morning paper.

Do you know what part of the site you are pitched on, we prefer to stay in the Orchard which is a mixture of tents & caravans.

Even in the height of the season with a full site the owners never over crowd Old Oaks.

Could not agree more, really super site, very friendly immaculately clean, we normally go on the circle, you will enjoy everything a good site should be.

Thank you for all your comments.

Im not sure what part of the site we will be on but it does sound a very good site.

Its just myself, the wife and little Oscar (shi-tzu cross).

We just enjoy peace and quiet, cleanliness of the facilities, friendly staff and some walks available from the campsite taking us through the countryside.

Sounds an ideal site for us and really looking forward to our trip.

Thanks again

If you happen to be a car or aviation buff the haynes motor Museum at Sparkford (south from Glastonbury towards Yeovil) and/or Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton are both excellent but, unfortunately, not dog friendly.

The Old Oaks is a truly excellent site, fabulous location, wonderful views, immaculate facilities, friendly owners and brilliant staff. The site is second to none and never feels overcrowded, we love it and can't fault a single thing. You definitely won't be disappointed.

I have booked 8 days mid July so may so you there. Not stayed at this site before but have not read a bad review.
