Pembrey cc site shops, places to eat

Hi

We're planning to stop at Pembrey cc site during school holidays. Have stopped before a few years ago. We are interested in what the local shops, supermarket are like and if anyone can recommend places to eat. We are a family of 5, 3 kids close to being teenagers. Many thanks in advance.

Annette,

There is no shops within walking distance of pembrey, however a couple of miles down the road you have burry port which has a co-op a couple of excellent butcher shops and a bakers. there are also quite a few pubs that serve food.

Alternatively if you want a Tesco or Morrisons there is one in Trostre which is about 6 miles from the site. A little bit before Trostre there is a Brewers Fayre Pub called The Sandpiper.

Hope this helps

Cant comment on the local shops, but what we did find was a fantastic fish & chip shop in the village. Didn't look much, but the fish & chips were superb.

We stayed in Pembrey cc site last year, the wardens recommended the Cornish Arms in Burry Port. We tried it had to wait a while because we had not booked a table, but well worth the wait,we have booked Pembrey for May.

two excellent food venues open in burryport,on town square, both new in last year and run by lifeboat volunteer crew members.

plenty of fast food outlets also.

ship aground pembrey bar meals at fair prices.
