Peugeot 307

Good evening, does anyone on here tow with a 307 2.0 110bhp?

Are they any good looking to tow 1200kgs max.

Thanks Steve.

Hello Steve,

Our first tow car was a 5 door 2.0D Peugeot 307 and it was very good, economical and with enough power for our needs at the time. However, on rare occasions it sometimes felt as if the "tail was wagging the dog" and we soon bought a car with a better towing capacity.

It's a fair few years since we moved on to bigger vans and cars, but from memory the kerbweight of the 307 was around 1300kg, which just about covers your requirements. To be on the safe side I would check the kerbweight of your model and think hard on your caravan's max weight when it's in full holiday guise.

🙂

we had a new 307sw and put a avondale 556 on the back and the front of the caravan just sunk. the wings are just plastic on the car. maybe it was because the caravan was built nose heavy i dont know but i sent the car back.

Quite a few cars have plastic panels these days to save weight so dont let that put you off.

We had a 307 sw for a year and a great car it was didnt tow with it but a good all round performer very good engine.

They look big cars but are really in the small family car section ie focus.

They only weigh around the 1300kgs so your 85% tow weight would be around 1100kgs
