Porch Awning Skirt

I can't put the skirt of our porch awning onto the caravan, as the wheeel of the caravan breaks the run of the awning track and the skirt hangs down - what should I do? We are using a sunncamp awning.

Hi Cathryn,

You should have been given a piece of plastic about 1/2-3/4 of a meter long it has a figure of eight construction with open slots, you slide the awning in one slot and the wheel arch cover in the other and this keeps it all ridged across the wheel. I never got one with mine and went back to the supplier for one they handed one over no problem.

Thanks Martin - we bought the awning second hand, so I haven't got the piece of plastic or the wheel arch cover. I'll get onto the manufacturer to see if they can supply one...once again many thanks

I had the same problem with our Porch awning on our new twin axle. I rang N.R.Awnings at Todmoden and purchased an 18 foot one which goes the length of the awning, accross both wheels, and into the awning track beyond the wheelarches. They charged about

If you go into your local dealers they should be able to sort you out with the piece I am on about.
