Powrtouch mover fault

After positioning the van with the mover, the rollers wouldn't retract off the tyres electrically (have wound them off the tyre for now). The battery was low (11.5V) and charging didn't help so it's been replaced with a new one. This has not overcome the problem.
Powrtouch helped on the phone but I cannot find the fault and need to look at it over the weekend so I can return the van to storage.
I understand the feed to the actuators goes direct from the battery to the mover itself without engaging components in the control box, although I think the wiring does go through a terminal block in the box. Power must go through the toggle switch in the battery box which activates the rollers on and off the tyres, or does this switch pull in a relay? Also, how can I check the circuits through form the battery, through the toggle switch in the battery box, to the actuator? I have a volt/resistance meter available.
Any tips / pics really appreciated.

We had this problem. Power touch came out and replaced the motors that moved the rollers. Great customer service.

I dont know how old your mover is but you mention a toggle switch to engage and disengage the rollers, there were two types of switch, one was a manual return to centre position, the other was automatic centre return.
Whichever is fitted they simply supply 12v to the actuators, there is no relay involved.

If you have the older style actuators which are basically bolted onto the back end of the motors they are notoriously unreliable and fail at the drop of a hat.
If you can give more details about mover age it would be helpful.
A point to note is that if your toggle switch is the manual centre off type, it MUST be returned to centre as soon as the rollers are either engaged or disengaged . It MUST NOT be left in either of the "On" positions.

Note: I have moved the topic to the correct area of the Forum for obvious reasons

Thanks for the replies. Long time since I posted hence doing so in the wrong area....
The Mover is 7 years old, and the toggle switch is a 'return to centre' type.
