Praise for site wardens

Just back from weekend at Hurn Lane CC site, Friday night the site was not flooded but very wet, some hardstandings were under a few inches of water.

Wardens were working hard to keep the site decent I know they were phoning some people to ask them not to arrive, and they also managed to provide pallets for people on the wettest pitches,it was not as bad as some places in the country, but they were doing a great job under difficult circumstances,so a word of praise for them all.

The reception staff at Holburne Cotswold were brilliant this week, too. They were inundated with phone calls and messages, asking about flooding in the area. When I got through to them, they offered me a move to a superior pitch (am in plaster, with a torn achilles tendon) to get me off any mud on grass pitches. They were also taking in vans of local people, who had suffered in the floods. Through it all, they were helpful and friendly.
