I feel I must point out though that in contrast to the figs and problems you quote for your Trooper/Monterey, my replacement autobox in the Range Rover when I cooked it by stupidly blocking off the oil cooler, was a fraction of what you paid.

Also the boxes have a dipstick that allows you to ckeck the level and check the condition of the oil. Something you might want to have done if you buy another vehicle!!!
I am not saying "my vehicles better that your vehicle" - I leave that sort of sillyness to others - As I said earlier I rate the Trooper as being one of the best. But all vehicles have there pros and cons.
