Radio cassette in 1992 Swift Challenger

My 1992 Swift Challenger has a Goodmans Car Radio/cassette, which I think was fitted as standard. I haven't bothered with it since I've had the van as reception was awful

However, I've just fitted a seperate aerial and reception is now spot on.

Problem is, I can't for the life of me figure out how to set a particular channel to a button, ie Radio 5 to button 5 on MW. I've tried getting the station with the ⇦ ⇨ buttons and pressing and holding the said button but it doesn't work. It also has a button marked ST which I've tried, again to no avail.

Anyone with a similar radio got the knowledge? Thanks

I used to have one of these and but I cannot remember too much about it. I thought you pressed the ST button and the numbered button at the same time to store the selected station. If nobody else can help, it might be worth trying the Tech Support people at Goodmans - contact form here www.goodmans.co.uk/contactform.aspx?language=en-GB
