just a note to say that there are two rare opportunities in 2006 to stay in the exclusive scenic Stapleford Park estate near Melton, East Leics as part of two charity steam rally events this year. The first takes place over the 17th 18th June (arrive on the frid night) and costs £25 per pitch including admission both days to the event. The second is over the August BH weekend and costs £15 per pitch. please see our website www.fsmr.org.uk with event posters for more info and booking details
The events are centered around the historic Stapleford miniature railway which featured in the Avengers 40 years ago and has 5 steam locos running over nearly 2 miles of parkland. there will be hot catering and licensed bars at both events and it is very much a family atmosphere with the chance to leave and visit the nearby Rutland water and Melton tourist attractions at the same time
From previous years feedback, everyone staying over has said how they loved it and come back the next year
