Rear panel separating?

The rear panel of my 1991 Swift Challenger seems to be 'separating' from the internal structure of the van. when standing outside at the back of the van you can press the rear panel in, as if there is a big air bubble under the skin! As we are fairly new to caravanning can any of you shed any light on what may be causing this and if it is fatal?? There is no signs of damp anywhere inside. The van is otherwise structurally sound.

Are you sure it isn't caused by damp? Have you had it damp checked?

No. I really don't think it is a damp problem. The space behind the panel does not feel water filled at all and there are definitely no other signs of damp inside. Anyone any other ideas?
