Regarding your question about the Red Shoot - its ...

Overpriced.

Overcrowded.

In an inconvenient location for touring the New Forest / Poole / Bournemouth / Southampton etc.

Therefore, look at the two Caravan Club sites ( Brockenhurst and Bransgore ) or the various sites run by the Forestry Commission.
