Rest areas near Lymington ferry terminal?

We're off to the Isle of Wight on Saturday, sailing from Lymington at 12.00pm mid day. We can't travel down the night before so I need to plan my route from the Midlands taking into account the traffic around Lyndhurst. Does anyone know of anywhere between Lyndhurst and Lymington that's suitable to park up with the caravan in case we're early for the ferry?

Gary,
Have a look at Setley Ridge Vinyard (just South of Brockenhurst) they have a large layby/parking area outside (see Google maps) which may accommodate your outfit and a cafe/shop where you could wait.

We're there (on the CS) for 5 nights starting this Sunday.

Hey there!

Sounds like a great trip! One spot you might consider is the New Forest National Park, which has several areas where you can park and enjoy the scenery if you're early. Another option is Moyles Court, which is a spacious area that’s caravan-friendly and not too far from Lymington. Richard 😁
