reversing camera system

I would like to know if it is possible to create a reversing camera system by purchasing a suitable camera and connecting it to 12 volt B/W 5inch which I already have (unused for a long time). Do you think it would work?

You can use the scart or phono input to the TV

On a caravan if you wish to use for permanent rear view as I did you can pick up 12V from the fridge feed
