The V 10 engine was even better, with minimal increase in fuel cons, but I don't know about VED.

I think fuel usage is considerably more on the V10 as the annual VED is £700 - they are getting long in the tooth now with many ordinary jobs needing the engine taking out!

I’d look on it as a compensating charge that counterbalances the increase to employees NI payments that were introduced in 2022 to create the NHS and Social Care fund. Then earlier this year they were effectively dropped as a pre election giveaway. So your increase in VED could be used to support the NHS/Social Care. 😂
Was it an actual increase or was it just putting it back to where it was before the pre election give away?
No because that increase isn’t being ring fenced for the now dead NHS and Social Care Fund.
