Robberies at Calais by illegals

It's a Daily Mail story - so if you believe all you read in the Daily Mail you'll believe this. If not.....!

The route into Calais docks, as anyone knows, is mostly direct autoroute, and otherwise is an almost continuous stream of HGVs and cars. How any small gang could form a human blockade belies the imagination.

There may have been one small incident which has since been blown out of all proportion by the journalists of an anti-migrant newspaper, just looking for a good story. Several comments on another forum, from people recently travelling through Calais, have mentioned no problems.

I agree with Val. We recently sailed out and back again from Calais, the first night staying on the docks and feeling very safe. There were so many officials and Customs officers about, it would be very hard to cause much trouble.

I do not understand why the French jusy let them hang around the port area? and that's whether your pro or anti migrant...

Has anyone experienced safety problems with immigrants at the municipal stop-over for Motor caravans overlooking the port?
