Yes I know that one day they will become our future King and Queen but surely they do not deserve to be hounded to death by the paparazzi like Princess Diana.
It's beyond me as too why some people carry on with this idea and accept that he or his father will be Kings. We the people can stop the nonsense if enough had the sense to stand up for our rights.
Also, how do you know Diana was hounded to death by the papraazzi, she was happy to court the paparazzi and press and if you take the peoples shilling expect to have your life scrutinised. If Willy wants them to be King and Queen and go through all the public wedding hoo ha and swan around with private protection squads and a load of helpers and advisers the boy is public property and it's game on for the press and so it should be.
I don't subscribe to the idea that you can flaunt yourself as head of the church approve government legislation and be thought of as being at the top of the elite heap dogooder and then behave like low lifes and bed hopping sex starved bunnies in private.

You can pick and choose and vote for a president and get rid of them.
I find the idea of bowing and scraping to a young wet behind the ears couple or even the Queen abhorrent and sickening. I wouldn't bow or lower my head to anybody all the clap trap about Willy walking in to a room ahead of a lady, how rude is that? Just be polite to everybody in the same way.
Calling Royalty Maaahm or Sir
smiley-cry.gif
What kind of people are there that lower themselves to such clap trap, they bleed, sleep and s the same as anyone else
smiley-embarassed.gif
and as for calling somebody SrAlan or LordSugar, No Way
smiley-yell.gif
. Bill Gates,Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg have made a hell of a lot more for the USA than Alan Sugar could ever dream of and Mr or the first name does OK for them and they and others without titles manage to give hundreds of millions away to charity and good causes as well and no one walks backwards away from them either.

If oppressed citizens don't keep speaking out, courtiers, aristocracy and social climbers fictitious claims that expensive out dated Royalty is in any way beneficial just continue to be a cancer of modern day society.

"A little older a little wiser" at least we have the wisdom to challenge the myth from the Royal's 'spin machine
smiley-tongue-out.gif
it's just a shame that other's don't stand up for citizen rights.

24 / 7 media propaganda along with forum comments on the wonders of a couple of 28 year olds marrying is as annoying and offensive to us as our views may be to others

Why don't you and your other citizen mates go and live in another country then?

Those comments come across as a reversal in a racict bigoted way. Why would we or why should we leave our own country where we have a history here going back for very many generations.
Would you have asked Mrs Pankhurst to leave the country or may be we should return to the days of 'Upstairs Downstairs' or 'Downton Abbey' and then you would all know to speak when spoken to and keep your place in society. No freedom of movement for the working classes and no time for caravans or holidays
smiley-wink.gif

Try suggesting here that all the following should leave the country because their ideals, views and behaviour don't suit you
Muslims
Immigrants
Tinkers
Gays
Socialists
Communists
You lot would have planes lined up and fly all Lesbians to Lesbos I bet
smiley-wink.gif

I think the Moderator and Powers that be would soon be jumping up and down
smiley-smile.gif
Try telling New Labour or Red Ken or Robbo that they should have hopped off to the Soviet Union or some other socialist style haven
smiley-cool.gif

Thank God that we've moved on from the doffing of caps and tugging of forelocks of a few generations ago, getting rid of Royalty and taking control and citizenship rather than being seen as subservient subjects is long overdue

OK, this topic is fast descending into the all too familar, off topic and usual "who can shout louder" situation.
Be advised,,,it is all very easy to remove the topic if it continues in this vein,,,,and adding smileys does NOT make any posting more acceptable.

Never mind Om, I'll pray for you because as of yet I've never felt oppressed or sub-servient because of royalty. It must be in the mind. And no, you shouldn't have to leave this country which has a long history along with your family. A bit like the royal family I suppose. There have been kings and queens here for a few centuries now ... heh! heh! heh!
Guess what, I've never ever been jealous of them either

Nor have I, and I'm a bit mystified as to why OmOnWeelz (oh and incidentally, I'm also mystified as to how I should address you, as you seem to have a bit of an identity crisis/multiple personality and can't seem to make up your mind whether you're male, female or both
smiley-wink.gif
) seems to think we should feel that way.

One leaves us in the most spectacular of ways and another comes along to join us. Bit like the buses but on two wheels.

I know it is a little old fashioned but we're a married couple who share similar views on politics and Royalty. I'm not sure if Reg and Pat is an identity crisis as my working out is that Reg and Pat are a couple who are members here as we are Chris and Rosalind. I've never ever felt jealous of Royalty, but I do feel very sorrry for people who expect others to bow and scrape to them.

Thank you for clearing that up. I guess "Reg and Pat" makes it pretty obvious that there are two of them, whereas your forum name does not! And your postings haven't always made it clear which one of you was posting.

I still don't understand where you get the idea of bowing and scraping from. I'm a Royalist (surprise, surprise!!
smiley-laughing.gif
) and have seen the Royal Family on a number of occasions, but have never 'bowed' or 'scraped' to them, nor do I feel subservient to them. As to whether others do, well that's entirely up to them.

As far as I am concerned this country is a so called free country and we all have the freedom to think as we so wish. I am a true Royalist as I have previously mentioned but I will respect other people's views, as long as they are within the realms of decency and respect, as we all have the right to an opinion. Mention has been made of Red Robbo, etc. - probably in their opinion they were right so were entitled to express this opinion. As I say we are a free society so live and let live. Royalist/Republican who is right? In my opinion I am right but I am just one in a few million residents in the UK. We have had a Royal family for many hundreds of years so why change now? Whether we agree with the law is one matter but as the law is there, and passed by a majority rule in Westminster, it should be adhered to

Well I'm NOT a royalist but what as happened today sums this post up.

An Anglican bishop has apologised for saying ...
"We need a party in Calais for all good republicans who can't stand the nauseating tosh that surrounds this event,"

Now no doubt the Om's would join him but the response from the royals is typical ...... they declined to comment.

This is what I mean by forum terrorists whinging, complaining, blowing bum dust etc. about those who can't reply, even if it's out there in the wide public domain.

As an Anglican I'd never heard of the Bishop of Willesden which I believe is a suburb of London but no doubt our learned head of the Anglican church has created new postings and put into position followers of his left leaning druid teachings
smiley-laughing.gif

Instead of wearing a mitre he would look more at home wearing a wreath of holly and mistletoe on his head ... heh! heh! heh!

The Willesden in Brent diocese and Bishops of Willesden have been around for about a 100 years. I wish William and Kate all the best and it would appear that after living together for a good number of years and during their uni years they have a pretty good chance of a long lasting marriage. I thought the Bishop speculating about the length of the coming marriage was very poor form.
But I agree that all the hoo ha is uncalled for. Royalty are not supposed to be able to give autograph's but I saw news that Charles managed to give one in Lostwithiel in the past few days. Charles manages to shoot his mouth of on numerous subjects and has interfered in things that have nothing to do with him, his father is pretty good at saying some strange things and then leaving others to defend his words as humour.
"Silence is Golden" said the old song, but I believe "silence is the answer to unanswerable questions". No wonder Royalty keep silent
