Satellites abroad

Hi all!

We have used a LIDL satellite kit for a few years now in the UK, and am looking at a bigger dish for use in the South of France.

There was a decent looking one on E-Bay (65cm dish & tripod for sale by cambridge satellites) which would probably have fitted the bill, but I refuse to buy anything from anyone who can`t be @rsed to answer a question on the goods they have for sale ( and I waited several days so I wasn`t that impatient). I rather pay more to someone worthy of my hard-earned.

However, coming from Yorkshire, I`d rather pay LESS if I can get away with it.

The question is:- having purchased numerous items at silly (compared with the UK) prices from French hypermarkets (roofbars, roofbox, stereos, cameras etc) would I be better off waiting until I get there and buying locally?

Anyone out there purchased this type of stuff in France, and if so how does it compare?

TA!

Angus

I can not comment from personal experience but other people have posted that there are better deals in France.

While you are at it change the LNB from 0.6dB to 0.3dB (pretty sure it is that way round) this cost me around

Can I ask how many Euros you shelled out for the dishes Rod?

Helps for comparative purposes.
