The CMHC site says they are assessing the latest HMG advice and the website will be updated when the position is confirmed. My reading of the HMG paper would see 12 April as a potential date for sites to open.

There’s a message on eye kettleby lakes site stating that they expect to be open by the 12th but asking people to just wait till it’s all confirmed properly, I wouldn’t think they’d put this online so quick after Boris announcement if they wasn’t confident.

Without my second Jab, the wife and myself are going nowhere. I am not that desperate to get away. Especially if the pubs are not open,

The SD facilities on the four sites we visited July-October were all very well arranged. The biggest risk would have been hypothermia via the open windows and doors. 😷

Scotland's rules are looking complicated - although their sites may open earlier than England, there are still travel restrictions based on their Tier system - eg, you can't travel into a tier 3 area, so we may have to wait until most of Scotland has been down-graded to Tier 2.

I moved my booked site from the 1st April to the 22nd, I thought I’d go for a few days after the expected 12th reopening just in case there’s anything goes wrong, also we’ve got a new awning on order which is expected early April, it’s a new vango 2021 model which I really like the look of so with any luck it’ll be there by the 22nd to try it out.

I heard Boris say for those with their own en-suite facilities. I took that to mean no to toiletblocks.

John
The government website refers to opening self-contained holiday accommodation, which in the case of caravans means using onboard facilities - but many of us always have.

See CMHC sites in Wales to open 29 March, facilities not certain and to be confirmed. So I could amend my booking from 28 March to sometime in April. But not sure what the England -Wales cross border travel rules are in this United Kingdom. 😷 Need to check but I suspect a caravan trip in or out of England prior to 12 April might not be classed as β€œessential”.

The legal requirement to stay at home in England, apart from permitted exceptions, remains in place until 11th April - from 12th April the legal requirement is removed and replaced by guidance.

Thank you. My final two sentences were TIC as I am ( painfully) aware of the current restrictions in England.

We go to what would normally be a full facility site on 1st May.
They have emailed to let us know that toilet and shower blocks will be closed until 17th May.
We're not worried, we're on a fully serviced pitch.
The bar and restaurant are offering a take away service until restrictions are lifted, but we're unlikely to use them.

From an old friend on FB I used to be a roady for in Liverpool in the 60’s. We have just been invited to an outdoor do. Doubt they will let us go to Newzealand. Pity. He sends us lots of pictures, lake Wanaka looks fantastic.

And a long time ago. (I might have taken this picture). He’s on our right. The lad in the back is still on FB. And the one in the white shirt lives in London. He went on to play in the Crying Shames.

One other member I can’t trace backed the Scaffold. They just could not understand why others could not play an instrument, until they tried to teach me.

I wonder if their advertised gig will still go ahead. Heard today, that Auckland have gone back into a 1 wheel lockdown after finding 1 new case!
