Site in London area

Hi

Can anyone recommend a nice site in the London area.We have stayed in CC Wyatts Covert which is just outside Uxbridge. Was looking at something a bit closer for commuting.Looking for a week in September

Hi

one of the best sites in London is the Caravan Club site at Crystal Palace, it's a short walk to the bus stop where you can get the bus to the city and many other areas of interest. Down Fountain Drive and on to College Road you can get the train at Sydenham Hill into Victoria, continue down College Road and you will pass Dulwwich College and further down the Dulwich Art Gallery and of course the Park, a lovely area of the city if yoe fancy a bit of a rest from the Hurly Burly.

Sorry I forgot to say that Fountain Road is just opposite the site entrance.

You could consider the Lea Valley Park site at Sewardstone Road whic is near Chingford. Or Oickets Lock site which is only a short walk from Ponders End station which has 2 trains an hour to liverpool St a journey of around 20 mins

Did mean Pickets lock, thats the problem when you use a mobile phone to surf the web and post.

Just to add the lee Valley site has a bus terminating at the entrance during the summer, and there is another bus service about a 10 min walk

one of my favorite sites is in london and i would definatley recommend it.Abbey wood caravan club site is within walking distance of the train station and ideal for anyone who wants to explore london.
