Site in Provence

Hi. Can anyone recommend a site in Provence for next year, one that takes camping cheques if possible. Thanks in advance Clive.

Hi Clive JW

My wife and I stayed at Castellane in Provence last June in a site called Castel Camping le Camp du Verdon. Being a 'Castel' site quality is virtually guaranteed. Castellane is at the start of the Gorge du Verdon which is Europe's Grand Canyon and well worth a visit. The town is within walking distance from the site and has all the usual amenities, including a few nice restaurants. Don't know about camping cheques. Sorry for the delay in replying but I have only just found your topic.

We were recommended Camping Mon Plasir by someone on this forum, and were very happy with the outcome. Situated in St Remy de Provence it's well situated for touring the area, has a superb Intermarche on the doorstep plus a fabulous weekly market. My only complaint was the swimming pool was freezing in September.
