Sites in London?

Hi
smiley-laughing.gif

Does anyone know of any caravan sites in London please? Ideally the more central the better. Near a tube station and I'm after going in the Feb half term (19th - 27th). I would like electric hook-up and a toilet/shower block.
Many thanks.

The favourite is the CC site at Crystal Palace. About a 10-15 minute walk down hill to CP overground station.
There is also the CC site at Abbey Wood down Greenwich way. That is also a short walk to an overground station.
'Out of town' there is the CC site at Hemel Hampstead (next door to the Buncefield tank farm that blew up a few years ago.) You can then drive to north London and get over or underground.

We've stayed at Crystal Palace three years running during Autumn half term and it;s a tidy site to usual CC standards.
You've got quite a few choiced on how to get in to Central London though - number 3 bus straight through to Oxford Circus or you can get off on to the tube at Brixton or train at West Dulwich. Another option with least bit of walking is bus from outside down the hill to Sydenham train station and into London Bridge.
It all depends what part of the country you're travelling from _ apparently the CC site at Denham in Bucks very good for access by train to Marleybone.

We have stayed at Wyatts Covert at Denham Green 2 years ago. Although it doesn't fit your central london criteria it is so easy to get to central london from here. We got a family day rover ticket from Denham Green railway station it cost £21 for a family of 4 and it included travel to London and back (about 20mins) and tube and buses for the day- bargain. It may be a bit more now but I can't see it being a load more. Also legoland is a short drive away. The minuses are: there is nothing for kids on site and the metropolitan police helicopter can be stationed at the adjacent aerodrome so it can,if it's there, take off at anytime day or night - made me jump when we were there!!
