Sites on or near the Gower

I have never been to this area before but am thinking of a week or two at the end of June and thinking of Pitton CP or Pembrey CC site any comments appreciated or ideas of other sites in that area. Thanks in advance.

HI,

I agree with h, we live 5 mins away from Gowerton CC site and it is really nice, I would say it is nicer than Pembrey and not so far out from the Gower. Friends of ours have just spent a weekend in Pembrey and they said it took them ages to get from Pembrey across to the Gower because all of the speed cameras in Llanelli.

Pitton cross is a lovely site - can be busy high season though.

I know that there is a nice site in Nicholaston, they run a "pick your own" farm and have a site next to that with spectacular views over Oxwich.

If you want any tips on places worth seeing then just let me know !!

Hope this helps

Ian

Plotter,

I would go for Pembrey, over gowerton everytime. The gower is beautiful but the site at pembrey is much better situated than gowerton.

Take a look at www.perriswoodarchery.com, .They have a superb CL. As previous post states Nicholston farm is also very good.

Also take a look at this www.enjoygower.co. Should be useful

Pembrey is about a 30-40 min drive to Gower dependant on the weather

Will second this one. Had a very enjoyable fortnight here couple of years ago and thought the view stunning. Road outside site is quite busy though, and narrow in places. (Wouldn't let that put you off though)
