Semi-retired vehicle dynamics and chassis engineer.
That explains your in-exhaustible knowledge of the technical side of caravanning but tell me Lutz your English is to good, in fact better than some of the indigenous posters on this forum, so what's the secret?

I have taken early retirement from being a college lecturer in further education in architect and surveying. Like Lord B. I am enjoying every minute. In fact work hampered my social life. Good luck to all those other retired caravaners.

Hi All

Retired at 40! after a career working in Motorsport

I had for some time dabbled in the firework industry as a hobby so when I retired I pursued this 'hobby' in a more professional way (By running it as a business so as to get operator insurance etc) This hobby has now turned into a thriving business (Which was not my initial intension). I suppose you could call it work, but what fun.

I am also studying for a natural science honours degree

All this and I get to be at home most of the time while my children are growing up.

My wife is a senior manager at Barclaycard. Something to do with accounts.
