socket size for bailey pageant s6 alloy wheels

We're off on hols soon so I was going to check the wheel nut tightness with my torque wrench - small problem I don't have a socket that will fit. Not as obvious a solution as it initially sounds. I think it's 21mm but it looks like it needs a thin wall socket or is it just an awkward bailey size before I go looking and trying loads at a shop and annoying the staff asking to try individual sockets 1 at a time.

Robfooty, I think you will find its iether 17 or 19mm, these are available as seperate items from Halfords and if you get them from the "Proffessional" range they carry alifetime garantee. Bazz.

Hi Robfooty,

Got a S6 Burgendy and its 19mm. Just a standard wall thickness socket, any good car accessory shop or motor factors can supply.

Rob

On the pageant series six alloy wheels the manufacturers must have over laquered some of the alloy wheels you will find the best bet is to by a 19mm alloy wheel socket (from halfords) and remove the nylon cover from the socket then that gives you a narrow walled socket perfect for the pageant alloy wheels.
