Something for a family get together (i.e. tents + a caravan) ...

Hi all,

We're trying to plan a family get together in July somewhere near Skegness but need to find a nice quiet site that will let us pitch a couple of tents next to our caravan so we can get the whole family together for a weekend.

There's lots of young kids and a dog and ideally we'd like somewhere away from the bright lights of Skegness and Mablethorpe (although we'll more than likey pay them a visit).

Be interested in any suggestions or recommendations!

Thanks in advance!

Dave

my daughter has just moved to old leake, between boston and skegness, opposite the turning is the caravan site White Cat, we took our caravan when we last went to see her, very nice clean site, only 2 showers, but very clean, caravan pitches where we were on site could accommodate tents very close skegness about 25 miles away, drivable and boston is 8 miles easy for shops and pubs

The C&CC site at Mablethorpe is actually on the outskirts of town (inland to the south west) Usual facilities and will cater for tents as well as caravans. We were there six years ago now, but assume it is still up to the clubs high standards. To see where it is try google mapping the post code LN12 2NU.

Dave, we're just back from the C&CC site at Woodhall Spa which is abut 30 minutes from Skegness. There was a fairly big field with a good mix of caravans, tents, trailer tents and motorhomes. It was a lovely site and I saw plenty of dogs although not many children but then it was early June. By the way, the Ebrington Arms in nearby Kirkby-on Bain does excellent food and has a nice outdoor seating area.
