Sore throat

Does anyone have a rock solid cure for a sore throat?

Mine feels like someone is trying to strangle me 🙁

Need my voice back asap!!!

Decocain throat lozzengers, The treat it and they have a mild anisetic. Are ther any 24 hour pharmacies near you. If not you may get it in the supermarket. Failing that Two tea spoons of honey half a lemon - squeezed in to a cup, 2 Paracetmol in to the cup, add hot (NOT BOILING) water and the honey, sip and let the stuff sooth your throat.

You need to gargle with a warm and salty solution.

Gargle with soluble asprin, assuming you are not allergic to it. It is anti-inflammatory so will calm your throat down. Swallow it, but remember to count it as a dose of asprin. I think soluble paracetemol works as well.

I never bother with 'over the counter' remedies. Instead I think of my old granny who swore by a small tot of whiskey to which she added lemon juice and honey. She would gargle then swallow and it worked perfectly well, or at least she said so. Try this (or several) before retiring at night.

Hi everyone

Been to docs, have throat infection and the Flu - nothing that tablets and whiskey won't sort out though, good old hot toddies for me!!
