Spinflo ignition failure

The electronic ignition on the cooker has packed up. Can this be fixed as a DIY or does the whole cooker have to come out, meaning a trip to the dealer?

The ignition box is at the back of the cooker top right hand corner, check all 12v fuses first

If the ignition switch is on the front panel near the gas control knobs, then it is possible that it has got 'gunged up' (technical term !). You should be able to release this from the panel with careful use of a small screwdriver blade.
Then pull off the leads and carefully 'short ' them with a piece of insulated wire stripped at each end. If the igniter clicks and works, then all you need to do is replace the switch - If not then the fault is elsewhere and more will have to come out. Oh, and check the 12v fuses first as previously advised.
Over the years I've had two switch failures of this sort, plus one which was a loose connection at the back of the switch.

Switch removed. The wires are so short I can barely reach them . I suspect they had come off the switch.

Can I reach these wires from the front without removing the cooker? If it's a removal then I'll leave it to the dealer.

If I could reach the two wires which are both female ended spades , it would be so easy to add a couple of extensions and then to the switch. It's like Thetford fitted the switch and then pulled the two wires tight so there is no slack at all.

One for the dealer I think.
