Hi All

Plan to hit Cornwall in June with Hubby and two dogs, so looking for a suitable nice quiet site. Have checked on the search facility and decided that the following look interesting:- Godrevy Park,Treamble Valley and Merrose Farm, but couldn't find any comments on St Agnes Beacon. Has anyone been there? Could anyone pass judgement on any of the above sites which might be the most suitable for a two weeks stay. Dogs (and dog walk) and peace and quiet are our criteria. Not keen on large overcrowded sites which cater more for children any more as we've finally managed to convince our kids to leave the nest.

Many thanks in advance

If you follow the published directions to CC St Agnes there's no problem, even on the last mile which is a bit narrow. It's a good site for walking, particularly if you have dogs as you can go either direction along the cliffs for miles.

It's no toilet block which keeps the atmosphere quiet. The site power supply crosses some of the pitches, TV isn't good on these pitches.

The cafe at Chapel Porth, about 2 mile walk including one steep bit, does really good, if indulgent, snacks.

If you want peace and quiet try Chacewater Caravan park near Truro, we went there last year, adult only, lovely dog walk, special rates for over 50 years old. We really enjoyed it, and it's close to the coast.

St Agnes is ideal for what you appear to need. Right on the coastal footpath, quiet, beautiful sunsets (hopefully !),local shops a mile or so away, convenient for touring rest of Cornwall. Inexpensive.... Book it now !!!!!
