stanmore hall touring park, bridgnorth, shropshire.

We spent a few nights there a couple of years ago , quite an impressive site with a large lake in the middle, adult only area , a mixture of grass & hardstanding pitches some super pitches with water and waste connections and TV point through which you got some satellite channels. Very clean and tidy nice shower and toilet facilitys and a well stocked shop.

The only downside is that it is a fair distance out of Bridgenorth and to get into town you really need to use the car, you can walk but it is a very busy road. Bridgnorth is a pleasent little town good shops and pubs,Steam trains from bridgnorth to kiddiminster make for a good day out.

Agree with all that Jasper says. Stayed there couple of years ago in the family area but being late bookers had to take a fully serviced pitch. Had problems with the T.V. signal - it kept vanishing ! Discovered that three ducks were in the habit of taking a shortcut close to the service bollard and tripping over the co-ax lead thus pulling it out of the socket. Solved the problem with a large stone. On the cable - not the ducks !

Beautiful site and very clean - the only downside we were in the field near the main road and the traffic noise was horendous - especially the motor bikes racing on the road day and night - very long straight stretch of road where they can open the bikes up and go like h**l.

hi jo-anne - been there several times, both with kids (15/16 at time) and on our own. Excellent site with excellent facilities and so much to do in the area. Noise from the road has increased over time, but most pitches are slightly away from this. Just a little too far out of Bridgenorth to walk sadly - but Bridgenorth is a pleasant market town.

Hope this helps

Was their last summer and what a great site. Kids play area and good reception. Great for walking the dog. Bridgenorth is a lovely town and has the Severn Valley Railway.

Would recommend this site.

havren't been to this one but just recently returned from their sister site a few miles away at Oxon Hall Shrewsbury. Highly recommended, didn't need to use the car at all. Three great pubs within walking distance, co - op, chinese takeway, chippie and vets all within 5 mins walk, together with the Oxon park and ride,
