That's where common sense should kick in, get the other half to go out onto road and check! Simples 🙂Don’t worry yourself too much. According to the last review vision on leaving is difficult. But this isn’t exactly a busy fast road like some .Enjoy your stay and relax.
CAMC Review extract
My only criticism is the entrance can be a bit difficult to get out of just because you can't see that well in either direction. A well placed mirror in the hedge opposite would be a bonus.
Yes, but then I assume you would have to stop to pick the other half up which would be arguably worseThat's where common sense should kick in, get the other half to go out onto road and check! Simples 🙂

Great time to be visiting Gods county, make sure you spend a day on Dartmoor. 👍June 2025
Devon is definitely off our list of places for the foreseeable future. Dartmoor is very nice, but once you have done it 2 - 3 times that is enough. Our good friend managed a large sheep farm on Dartmoor for a number of years.Great time to be visiting Gods county, make sure you spend a day on Dartmoor. 👍
That’s priceless Ian🤪🤪Devon is definitely off our list of places for the foreseeable future. Dartmoor is very nice, but once you have done it 2 - 3 times that is enough. Our good friend managed a large sheep farm on Dartmoor for a number of years.
Lived in Plymouth for three years and later on Dartmoor for another three years. Absolutely lovely place for work and leisure. Fortunately we could find places the tourists rarely found.Devon is definitely off our list of places for the foreseeable future. It was a tongue in the cheek as we have been to Devon several times and done Dartmoor to death. However our last visit was not very pleasant. That’s priceless Ian🤪🤪
My parents lived in North Devon for 45 years and we are still finding new places to visit and stay! Some of the best CLs with FSP, some of the best NT Houses, the sea, beaches and coastline, eating out places, pubs beckon you on!
Where next will you go 😉😎
Glad you chose the hire car and didn't borrow mine..................................It was a tongue in the cheek as we have been to Devon several times and done Dartmoor to death. However our last visit was not very pleasant.
First we booked onto Ross Park and the pitch they allocated us was diabolical and not the pitch that we had paid for. We stayed the one night and to give them their due, we got a full refund.
Next we booked onto a CAMC site and then the car broke down and we had to hire a car. You may remember that episode.
Finally the nail in the coffin. We were using the hire car and went to Dartmouth Castle to buy and ice cream. We got to the end of the road and parked up displaying our BB. We had our ice cream and left about 15-20 minutes later.
About 3 weeks later at home we got a notification from the car rental that we had incurred a parking charge. Apparently where we had parked was a small council car park managed by a PPC. The car rental company charged us £35 admin fee and the PPC charged us another £35 for the parking. The ticket/invoice as all done by ANPR which is why we never realised we were entering a car park. We thought it was on road parking as never saw any signs. As we were 200 miles away it seem pointless arguing so paid up!
Devon definitely off the books for the future and looking forward to either France or Norfolk!
Then you don't know Dartmoor. 😉👍Devon is definitely off our list of places for the foreseeable future. Dartmoor is very nice, but once you have done it 2 - 3 times that is enough. Our good friend managed a large sheep farm on Dartmoor for a number of years.
Steady on Dustydog, we got enough Grockles as it is!That’s priceless Ian🤪🤪

Dartmoor? Surely not HMP😜Lived in Plymouth for three years and later on Dartmoor for another three years.
Not quite, a small village called Horrabridge and a few doors from a pub called the Leaping Salmon. Strangely enough I actually played basketball for Devonport team and we had matches in the prison, and their “away games” had to be played on site for obvious reasons. The opposition were as hard a nails and the gym playing area had vertical stanchions within the pitch. Quite a physical experience but memorable times.Dartmoor? Surely not HMP😜
