Ste Mere Eglise area Normandy - Hotel?

Hi

heading for Normandy/ Brittany border in September with 'van, site booked for two weeks however, intending to visit D Day beach area as well but at leisure, hoping someone can give good recommendations for a hotel/restaurant around the Ste Mere Eglise area for one night - don't want to move 'van from the site we are going to!

i cant give any good recomendations , as it was in the 70s that we toured all the beaches with the diving club , we stayed at the Hotel del la Marina in Arromanches , St mer Eglise was where the parachutist called John Steele landed on the church steeple , its well worth a visit , there are photo's in the museum showing the German soldiers shooting the American paratroops while they were still airborne they were sitting ducks , the whole Normandie and Britany coastline are all worth a visit lots to see

On another forum (which I can't find now), I recommended the Auberge du Vieux Chateau which is about eighteen kilometres from St Mere Eglise. Friends stayed there and recommended it.
