stop off between santander and salou

is it posible to drive from the ferry at santander to salou in a day or is a stop off required? if so can anyone recommend a place o stop? we'll be staying at torre del sol is this site ok especially for children?

Don't know about Salou, but for stops on the way look at Savinan - shown in the CC Europe 1 under Catalayud, south of Zaragoza or Manzanera to the east of Teruel just off the main Zaragoza to Valencia route. Have stayed at both, and they would be fine for an overnight.
