i'm thinking of buying a 08 plate grand vitara 1.9 diesel.

As anyone got any experience with this car.

the c02 kerb weight and tow weight are excellent, but would still appreciate some advice.

we have had 3 grand vitaras including a 57 reg new model, they were brillant without a caravan on the back, be very careful of what length van you pull even if the weight looks right, we changed from a charisma 535 which the sukuki pulled reasonable, to abbey gts 418, the vitara was all over the place with this in tow, changed reluctantly to kia sorrento, have no problems now, certainly the right decission, try towing with the vitara before buying to be sure.
 
Thanks for that sailor, we got a sprite alpine 2 max weight 1165kg i think the vitara would be ok but i think i may go with my second choice a nissan xtrail.
