We have been looking at the new Swift Challenger 540 as we are thinking about changing from a two berth to four berth as we would like the fixed bed, however, as we now have an end washroom with loads of space the compromise is the washroom. We are quite happy with the basin being in the bedroom area but are not sure about the shower/toilet compartment. Has anyone got any comments to make on this arrangement - [closing door over toilet when showering] we're not sure if this will be satisfactory. Also the door back into the caravan does anyone have any problems with leaking from the shower etc. We would be really pleased to hear from anyone about this caravan as we are planning to order one from the Exhibition in October.

Thanks Dorothy

Dorothy,

We have had a 540 since July and have used the 'vans shower most of the time that we have been away. It has never leaked out of either of the doors - to the loo area or out into the 'van itself. The only thing that we do is to use a small bathmat for on the carpet by the washbasin to stop the inevitable drips that come off of the door as you open it to leave.

We went from a Sterling Moonstone (end washroom / side bunks) to this and have had no problems at all adjusting to the layout.

So far everything has been excellent - 22 nights away and counting!

Whatever you choose - enjoy!

Neal

Hi Dorothy

If you fancy a fixed bed with an end bathroom, and you don't mind a twin axle then you have Bailey Senator Wyoming, Lunar Solaris, Swift are launching a 620 range with fixed bed on nearside and washroom across the back, if you want an island bed with side shower you could look at Bailey Senator Wyoming, if you prefer a single axle the Bailey Virginia is island bed with side shower, we have the Wyoming and it works perfectly for us. Hope this helps.
