swift Conqueror 1997 alarm functions.

My factory fitted alarm does not appear to allow me any time to re-enter the van to deactivate, as soon as i enter the pir picks me up and the alarm goes off, any suggestions?

Paul do you know the make,it might make it easier as the alarm is probably fitted on various 'vans. On mine I can adjust entry and exit times using one of the functions (eg F4) can't remember the exact one .
 
Hello Brian, the unit is a IDM2000, i have reset it back to the factory settings and then reprogrammed my personal code back in, the manual stated that there should be a 20 second delay on entering the caravan, however as indicated the alarm goes off as soon as i come into the view of the PIR.

Any suggestions.
