Hi all, my Nissan Tino has finally been over taken by the weight capacity required by two children. I need a bigger tug. My wife really like the style of the Terrano and we would like any comments. Is it a good puller and go to work motor as well, fuel, reliability. Also can anyone tell me the seat belt arrangement? does it have three shoulder belts in the back.

My budget will stetch to an 03/04 with about 50k, if I go to the newer x trail the miles shoot up.

Any advice out there greatfully recieved

Cheers Nick (Leeds)

Hi, I have owned 2 Terrano`s in the past and have towed a big heavy twin axle caravan with ease. In fact two years ago I had a Nissan Pathfinder company vehicle through my business and can tell you that the pathfinder does not compare anywhere near a Terrano`s towing capabilities. You will not go wrong with a Terrano, in my opinion this vehicle is a superb all round family tow car. I have three children and two springer spaniel dogs which can fit in the Terrano with plenty of space. We also load 3 bikes on the roof bars and tow a big twin axle caravan with ease.

hi nick

would advise to go for 3.0LT TERRANO RATHER THAN 2.7.BETTER CAR ALL ROUND.better still is the new 173 bhp x trail(2.0lt)this car pulls better than the 3 ltr, take my word for it ive had the 3lt. and gives a much better fuel consumption both towing and domestic,it really is a fine car.i thought the 3.0 terrrano was good wait till you drive the x trtail(173 bhp best for towing)

Thanks guys for the info I think I will be going for the terrano, however I have found a budget stretching 3.0 sve which is looking very temping. BTW the sve has three shoulder strap belts on a 54 plate, fantastic set up.

cheers, Nick

WE had a T reg 2.7td taht at the end had done 100,000 only 2 problems 1- air flow meter went at 60,000 miles this followed a slow loss of power over say a 4 week period to not want ing to go up steep hills in top gear. 2- earth lead cracked that intermitently did not allow immoboliser to come off 3 Nissan Garages thought it was diesel pump but all said they did not fail- 3rd garage checked it all over and finally said it was the lead - Bill a reasonable
