I have to disagree about flour.

The UK is largely self-sufficient in production of grains, producing over 100% of domestic consumption of oats and barley and over 90% of wheat.

So if what HMG tell me we shouldn’t have any price hikes or shortage of flour🤞
Grain cost have/will rise significantly even for UK grown grain as it needs to be dried before sale - that's a big expense for growers.

It has to rise whereever it's from -cost of fuel to harvest, dry and transport, then package and distribute; everything is going up, or so it seems,at a vast rate of knots, except my pay!

UK grain is a free market commodity and presumably can be sold to the highest bidder wherever they are, unless it has been pre purchased under contract by a UK buyer. But hopefully barley stays in UK if only for Hutch’s well being. 🍺🤣
