think some of your facts are wrong: is it an ACE Jubilee?? if so, which model? using an Ace Jubilee Statesman as the match I got the following from www.whattowcar.com:

"The towing capability for the Opel Vectra III - 1.8 16v with a Ace Jubilee Statesman: Your Ace is 83 kg too heavy for this car!!!!"

...but that may depend of the model of the caravan. try the website for yourself. hope this helps, Mark (",)

Chrissie I once had an ABI ACE Jubilee Globetrotter 4 berths, of circa late 1980s. It was a damn fine caravan and I have regretted the day we sold it in the early 2000s. It was very comfortable, dry, light in weight and roomy. We had it for approx 12 years if not more. Fair enough it did not have a shower or hot running water but we had a cassette toilet installed and there was 240V. mains electric. We had a Harrison awning which fitted it like a glove. The new owner used it for three years and then sold it on still with the same awning.

The closest I was able to find any data on was a 4 berth ABI Jubilee Supreme (1994 model) with a max. laden weight of 1175kg. If this is roughly what you are talking about, you'd be OK with the 1.8 Vectra - not ideal perhaps, but certainly quite adequate for the job.

The data I found was also a ABI Jubilee Supreme Courier, albeit a 1994 model, but I doubt whether a 1991 would be that much different.

However, now we have established that both the Peugeot and the Vectra are capable of towing the caravan, the best way to find out is to try them both and compare for yourself.
