Towing with a BMW E46 330D Auto

Hi,just registered on the forum. The mrs and i were looking at buying an Abbey Expression 540 2007 with a max load of 1472KG.Our current car as stated is the BMW 330d Auto,would this make a suitable combination ?
 
Should be a superb Tow car. Weight must be around 85% and the 330 diesel is one of the very best on the market and the auto will do the best job towing wise.
