Hi All

Has anyone used the above for towing Mine is the 3 door 2ltr turbo deisel 2003?

Was wondering what sort of weight of van I could go up to that sort of thing???

Hi Mark,

According to my information the 2ltr D-4D Rav 4 has a Kerb weight of 1545Kg,with a technical maximum towing limit of 1500Kg, which suggests that a van up to 1320Kg would be within the 85% guidelines.

The Rav is one of the Toyotas I have not towed with but all those that I have used have been very good.

To confirm these weights look at the Vin plate in the engine bay, or check the kerb weight on the V5c document.

I have a rav 4 and i pull a bailey pagent max weight 1300kg last year tour france for three weeks and the car is fine.

Going back again this year but the has no problem at towing this size of van.
